Legendary for the perks offered to employees, Google’s office in NYC recently added a special perk: A talk by Marco Tempest, just a few days following his talks at TEDglobal in Edinburgh. Engineers love magic, and it showed: The room was packed with an enthusiastic crowd as Marco showed his newest pieces with Augmented Reality and Projected Augmented Reality, as well as his latest “Deception,” using three iPods. After each piece, Marco shared a bit about it’s creation – what inspired him, and the technology used.
The @Google Talks program brings authors, musicians, innovators, and speakers of all stripes to Google for talks centering on recently published books and capturing the popular and intellectual zeitgeist of the day. Previously featured speakers have included politicians, authors and artists: Barack Obama, Lady Gaga, Tina Fey, Conan O'Brien and many others.
