| Cyber-Illusionist Marco Tempest demonstrates multi-dimensional reality during his latest performances. Since time immemorial, our three dimensional world has been easily represented in just two dimensions by draftsmen, painters and the like. Now Marco Tempest goes one step further, actually converting a two-dimensional drawing – in this case, of a bowling ball – magically into the ‘real thing,’ a three-dimensional, 10-pound bowling ball. Miraculously, as the ‘real’ ball emerges into our 3-D world, the 2 dimensional drawing vanishes from the page on which it was drawn. A lucky audience member leaves the theatre with the signed page on which the work of art once resided…now just a page with the words “Bowling Ball” and “Marco Tempest” written in bold black marker. |
